I don't currently own JTL (just came back after being gone a year) and was wondering if there is any reason to PvP in space?

Another question I have is is it possible for an Imperial pilot to fly a YT-1300 at all, and if not ,are there any plans for Imperial or Rebel pilots to be able to?

Well me personally loves pvp in space, i love nothing more than taking on players in deepspace around the stardestroyer,

the yt-1300 is for nutrol only, the rebs and imps have there own mp ship so no chance of that, i admit i really want it but its not going to happen...No use crying over spilt milk

You can be an imperial on the ground and a neutral pilot in space and fly the YT-1300, don't know why you would want to. Decimator is far cooler.

There´s one really good reason for being neutral whilst being factioned on ground. Neutral is the only pilot that does not drop when you change your faction!

Actually, statistically the YT-1300 is the worst PoB ship with only 2 ordanance slots.

If by "reason" you mean somethign the game gives you for doing it, then no. It is a heck of a lot of fun once you get used to it though. Very very very fast paced, so if you dont think you'll like that, avoid PvP. Being Overt in space is the only way to get faction for killing NPCs and you get a lot more faction in space than on the ground, thats the other reason to PvP, space overt means vulnerable to players.
