Okay, on the Tier 3 missions for Inquisitor Vrke, he sent me out to the Yavin system which led me eventually to the Dathomir system to capture Doctor Shinss's shuttle. I did everything right, disabled the shuttle, the capture process was complete, then escorted him to the jump point. THe message came up that the mission was complete. I have no active Imperila Navy quest in my quest journal now, and when I talk to Vrke, he says something along the lines of "come back when you've completed my task". Anybody know if I'm going to the wrong place or if something's bugged?

I remember one quest where there was an ambush at the end, but that's probably not the case here ... why not just do a tour of all systems in space and see if another quest shows up? Failing that, use the worst ship and parts you have and go get killed in a particularly messy fashion, and see if that causes the quest to fail so you can try again...

Are you currently trying to unlock tier3 or tier4 pilot missions?
Usually the missions are is very complex and require multiple objectives.
After you capture the dude and escort him to the hyperspace, make sure to check the logs and see if you need to jump to another space sector to continue the mission.

It said nothing about other space sectors or anything. I've jumped to most sectors now, I'll keep trying others though. Dying could do it, like reset everything. That wouldn't be so bad I guess.

You finished the mission, and it didn't update with a new goal, right? You landed and didn't get a "Mission Failed" message? And now your trainer is telling you to come back when you finish the mission that you've already finished? This is all correct?
Then ditch your mining mission. Or your Kashyyyk space station mission. Or whatever other space mission you have.

Need some help on this mission as well. Personally, I think it sucks. I get the mission and am sent to Yavin to disable and scan the "yacht" for some logs. I do that and dock with it. Then I'm sent to a "satellite" to transmit the logs. When I begin the transmission, I'm jumped by a horde of Y Wings and X Wings. I basically have to fend myself off for 10 minutes or so just for the transmission to go through. Then I'm told to go and dock with another shuttle in Yavin. Then after that go dock with yet another shuttle. Before I get the chance to do that, I'm jumped by another horde which ends up killing me. Now I find out there's more to complete this mission. That blows. Anyone have any suggestions on how to complete this while "soloing" It seems too complex. What bothers me the most is that once the mission is started there is no option to land and reload or simply take a break. Any suggestions beyond just giving up?

Try 'Jumping' to another part of the same sector, away from the wave of enemy ships and appoarch the WP from a different direction.
That has worked for me.
Also, when docking is required, focus on that first, and use your "Capacitor Shunt to Shield" droid command if your arebeing attacked by hostiles, it helps a great deal.
