Thread: Anyone use a gamepad instead of a joystick?

If so...which one do you recommend? I usually prefer gamepads over joysticks and am looking for some high-end gamepadrecommendations. Thanks for any help.

onder if the USB thing that allows u to use a PS2 pad would work if so i imagine it would be a good pad.

I use the axis pad, set up just like a ps2 controller, handles very good, can be picked up at gamestop, software etc or best buy for around $16.

I use the Logictech gamepad with the rumblepad option. I really like it. It handles really well. I'd recommend customizing the controls, as I found some of the buttons are in places I don't care for. For instance, I moved the countermeasures to the L and R buttons and made my main weapons buttons 1-3 on the surface of the pad itself. I experimented with moving the booster button to one of the L or R buttons as well, and it didn't seem to make much of a difference.
