Thread: How to solve the problem of decor a ship or a house

A lot of us has problems decoring our house, or ship cause it has so few space to place items, I think the best and the faster way to solve this problem is make the furniture free of space, i mean the furniture now use 1 space per item if it takes 0 we can decor houses or ships without problem and store items in them too, what you think about this idea?

I think it would be GREAT if furniture took up less space,
but the Devs probably won't make it happen, because it serves
as a way to limit the amount of junk, and that helps the database
(or so I've been told...)
Now, what I'd love to see is cabinets and shelfs able to hold items
WITHOUT the itmes inside taking up space in the house.

Sure it would be great , but as last post said they need to keep the amounts under controll for server space . I would , however, like to see the limits raised a little bit just another 25 items would help make a diffrence.

Hate to burst your bubble but do you realize how many players play this game? Last I heard it was well over 50 thousand people (well accounts anyways) if every one of those accounts had just one house (no ships) and everyone decorated each house to the max, at first not includeing that extra 25 and then adding that extra 25 it would add an extra 125k items? thats alot of space. And thats just for an even 50 thousand accounts. Adding that extra 25 to both houses AND ships would create ALOT of items.
Dont get me wrong I would love to have the extra space but looking at it from SOE's point of view I can understand why they wouldnt want to add more slots.

I would see this.
All houses/starships use the lots they use now to place them and have the same default item limits.
Add the ability to place more lots into the house/starship, adding 75 more items per lot.
We still have a total of 10 lots.
So we could have a small house with all 10 lots associated with it if we want.

What you mean when you said the 25 more? also no a lot of players decor his house and when a player decor his house don't place infinite items just what he needs, when i tried to decor a nova or a ship like it i just want a bethroom and things like that perhaps no more than 150 items more than the 75 i can loot, i also want to know if i place all the items i mean 75, when the ship loots what happen with the loot? will it disapear or go to my bag?
