Thread: Tatooine Privateer issues

My number one beef with the Privateer arc right now is not the ships, it's the fact that when you complete a tier, you can no longer get duty missions from a previous trainer. You HAVE to go speak to the next trainer.

This has plowed me straight into a wall as a smuggler privateer on Tatooine as I am now being required to do the JABBA THEME PARK mssions in order to speak to my next privateer pilot trainer!! I must protest this most vehemently! The theme park missions are, I consider, relatively advanced ground missions. I am now stuck w/o any space mission options, ie, no way to earn money, but am forced to face off agaist 3 5k HAM tusken raiders to start with!

I don't like being forced into the ground game like this, but being forced into such advanced missions, requiring me to level several ground combat skills, is not what I bought JTL for. And don't tell me to group, because I WAS grouped, and 3 of us pilots got crushed by these raiders.

My main is a Pistoleer/CH, and these targets con yellow even to him. Inexcusable, forcingground game targets of this levelon JTL pilots like this!

You can go to Naboo (RSF)or Corellia (CorSec) and do the other privateer trainer DUTY missions. Not to be confused with their training trees.

Naboo trainers are in the palace in Theed. Corellia's are in building straight across from the starport where Han Solo's cousin is located. You'll still have to do Jabba's Theme park in the meantime so you can talk to Beissa and get advanced.

Oh and the theme park isn't that difficult. I'm a mixture of professions. Only a master scout. For the tuskens just take out the captain. only he is needed to complete that quest.

My apologies, this was meant to be a reply to another thread and somehow it started its own thread...didn't mean to double post.

But I beg to differ, it is hard when you don't have any ground combat skills and frankly don't have any interest in leveling them. I have another char for that, my privateer is one I play with two friends who just play for JTL and have no interest in the ground game. Now that this has come up, they will probably cancel their accounts.

I think most people wish there was more combination of ground and space not less. As far as I know the arc you are on is the only one that has to do the themepark to get to the trainers. I know none of the rebels require it (however having negative Nym faction can make the Lok missions interesting since you have to go to nym's stronghold).

Sorry I have little sympathy for you. You purchased an entire game, not just a space game. I for one would love to see a lot more interaction between the two so it feels more like one game and one world, not 2 different things.

I Like it like it is, and i hope they will not change it, they should be more mission in space mached with the ground, like the tier3 Privateer second mission, where u have to distract some fighter clan so jabba's man could destroy the base on the ground, it would be great if u could do the ground missi by your self or with some Player freinds.

and also as rebell or Imp you have to do the Themeparks to talk to do tier 3 too.

and the themeparks are not highend missi, and I know waht I'm talking about I did rebell and jabba Themepark with only marksman 0404, just get a friend, acctuly I met my best SWG Friend when he was doing the rebell thempark and we complete it together.... ahhhh that was great, it was my best time in SWG, no he canceld the game because the loss Promiss and lies from the devs just 2 words: Smuggler Revamp

Well. I can sympathize with those that have no combat experience but likes to fly. I've helped people to do the required missions, entertainers, artisans. While for most people combining ground and space is a good thing you can't expect everyone to handle those missions and not everyone has the money for buffs and whatnot or are able to muster up help when they have time to play. The least that could be done is to explain this before people choose who they fly for.
