The warnings of mission completion or failure aren't recorded in the combat tab, which causes problems sometimes. They either don't stick on the screen for too long, or sometimes contain very important information that aren't mentioned in the quest logs. You play the mission, something happens, you hear the sound (either completion or failure sound), but you sneeze at that moment or dunno, faint, die, your eyes pop, and you can't check out what happened.
It would be a good detail to add. When playing missions with groups, one can sometimes miss them, and your group buddies' quests don't appear in your datapad/quest log.
And some of us (not me) play with sounds turned off, etc.

In space, right click the spatial tab, choose modify. Click on quest on the left, then the arrow pointing >> and then click ok. Your mission messages will now show in spatial.

Yep, did that, but it never shows. I did it for my combat tab (since that's where all the junk appear, like "such and such has tipped you 10000 credits". This might be a bug,or simply a problem generated with my own client then.
I thought everyone would be getting the same error as I do.

Nope, quest tabs don't matter when you're playing in a group. The quest of your groupmates don't show up in your quest tabs... By the way, do non-JTL accounts have the quest tab, too, or is it JTL-only?
If they do, it might be used for other sorts of missions in the future for the ground game...
