There is an odd, distracting purple circle that encompasses the targeting reticle and the ship, in 3rd person view. Is this a bug, or do I have some option turned on? I hear fromother people that they don't have it.How do I get rid of it? Here's pics - it's not as visible in the pictures as it is in-game, though.

Wow, this message board system is terrible. Here's the URLs... sorry for the not-clickable-ness.

I have the same problem, and I can't stand it. I didn't notice the circle in the beta, and i don't remember it even the day JtL came out. But I did notice it yesterday, and now it distracts the heck out of me! AHHH!

It may be pointless, but can it be removed? Why would some people have it, and some not?

That's the circle that the game uses to tell what to select when you press the "select target under reticle" button. You can go into the options (I'm not sure where, look around) and resize it to change the selection sensitivity, or you can hide it entirely (reticle select will still work if it's hidden, you just can't see it).
