I have an X-wing now and it won't let me load a missile pack. I got the same thing with both types of y-wings. I get a message that says 'unlocalized. You cannot manipulate this object' or something to that affect. I have the missle pack with me in my inventory so I don't understand why it won't work. Can someone help me?

Took me forever to grind out the combat xp. Then I go to my trainer and find out I have to do a mission before I can train. To make matters worse the mission is actually 4 different missions in one and if you fail any of them you have to start over again.
Thats definately one thing I'd like the devs to change.

Do you have the weapon itself equipped? (Proton Launcher, etc.)

You have to equip a launcher to and not just the ordanance? I don't think I've even seen launchers for sale at any of the places I've tried on tempest, just the missile packs.

You may get the message that you cannot manipulate this object, but in fact if you have the required equipment lvl, you can load your missiles. When you get into space, hit the g key, you wil have to put your launcher in the 'weapon slot 2' (not sure what is called as I am at work). Also with the ywing longprob and the xwing, if you wanna fire more than one laser at the same time 'linked' you will also have to goto the 'g' key screen to configure the 2 lasers to the one slot.

you need to equip a missle launcher, then you have to buy missle packs and load them in the launcher...

I get the same message, but my launcher seems to work. The problem I have is that I want to put a second launcher on my longprobe but it doesn't seem to work for some reason. I get a system message "weapon disabled" or something like that. I'm slightly over my reactor limit so I'm thinking that might be it, but not sure.
Also doing the first mission for tier 3 and am finding it really difficult. Have to capture an imperial officer, then drop off codes to alliance spies and fleet. I haven't been any further than that. I'm thinking the difficulty curve from tier 2 to tier 3 is waaaay out of wack devs.

I think the reason the devs made tier 3 so much harder than tier 2 is because none of the tier 3 boxes cost any XP.
