Bug: When grouped with another player on the ground, and we launch into space (in different ships), we cannot see each other in space. My friend had a mission and was doing it, we were grouped, but couldn't see each other, and I couldn't see any of my friends mission targets. I could hear them occassionally, but no ships were visible. I could use /findfriend to get a waypoint to my friend, and that's how I kept up with them, no visibility though. Anybody else have this problem?
Also, we launched into space seperately (ungrouped) and couldn't see each other once up there. Because we couldn't see each other we couldn't group. We tried everything, to include shutting down machines completely, restarting the game and trying again. No luck. I was just wondering if anyone else was having problems like this.

Same here. That prolly explains why space seems so empty all the time, lol.

hmm, it almost sounds like newbie space. When you are working on your first tier 1 box, you load into newbie space (a sector only for new players). Once you get your box, you then load in normal space. This can create the illusion that you are experiencing, both of you occupying the same space but not being able to see each other. Please clarify? Is this a possiblity?

I understand what your saying there, but both of us have our first box. I'm 1111 and my friend is the same. <shrugs> I'm at work now, and can't try again. I'm just hoping it's a passing glitch.

The one time it didn't work for me was when my friend had nothing but novice, that explains it.

take a look at this: http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=Techsupport&message.id=197715#M197715
or heres the quote from justG:
Hi folks,
Currently the way it works is this: All newbie missions go to one instance of Tatooine, Corellia, or Naboo. After you have progressed beyond that, you go to the other instance. Which is probably why you can't hook up with more experienced players in these zones.
This was done to reduce the possibility of people being denied entry into Space when we launched JTL. We are analyzing the loads daily, and as soon as they decrease enough we will collapse them back into single zones.
