I've not played much in space recently, but i've just got myself the advanced xwing. I've taken it out twice and it has been badly damaged but never destroyed. Returned to a station to fix up and my condition dropped to 1884 from 2000. Now after the 2nd mission and repair its dropped to 1660.

Any ideas if this is right? I thought the chassis condition went down when your ship was destroyed. But either way nearly 400 out of 2000 gone on a ship I cannot replace??

for ever 10 points of damage done to the chassis you will lose 1 pt of condition in decay, unless you repair by flying into and out of Deep space. on a 2k chassis, getting blown up (or severely hurt) twice, thats a realistic number. next time, get minor repairs at the station if you're immobile, then limp to deep space, no matter how long it takes.

What? Your ship gets repaired flying into and out of deep space? Is this a bug?

Steele Master Debator

When Sony and Lucas set out, we said, 'How can we do this and not make another EQ?' We didn't want it to be all about Luke, or combat, or lock our players into a class. So we created a system that would allow players to switch professions during the game, and there would be a lot of gameplay around making that change. If you want to go from architect to scout we've created a system to make that happen."

No it's not a bug or no it doesn't get repaired?

Also, do chassis repair kits repair a ship up to it's full condition?

In that case, what do you do if you're a freelance pilot. I think I read somewhere that freelancers can't get into deep space. Or is that just BS?

Freelancers can get into deep space from a space station in dathomir space.

Freelance can get to Deep Space, just not as an overt faction member to farm fps.
