Open your datapad and click/hold on your ship until the radial menu appears. You will get an option to empty cargo hold.

I am trying figure out how to empty out the small cargo hold on my starfighter. And i need a bit of info on the ways to extract the metals out of it .It's fulll and i cant get myY-8 mining ship quest doneplease anyone that can help me on this.
