What are with all the roamers? Its drivin me crazy. Running teir 3 misisons above endor and im fighting roamers that wander into the fight more then the objective craft! Am I doin something wrong? Is there a way to avoid these?

Edit: This is really nuts, I was just en route to a WP and I got attacked by 4 teir 4 guys, died.

that's especially frustrating in systems like Dathomir and places like that... especially if your mission happens to be anywhere near a hyperspace point for that particular group... I've found if it's not too much hassle, to just cancel the mission and get it again.. hopefully the WP changes a bit

They should really remove roamers, there no reason to have em around. Everyone runs duty missions if their interested in killing. Seems a bit outta place also. Missions are hard enough WITHOUT 4 extra guys that are 1 teir above me.

On the plus side, it helps teach you situational awareness. Keep your eyes out for extraneous red dots and pull your mission targets away from them. It will be a useful skill in the master missions.

Empty space would kill immersion. I for one am happy for the natural spawns. They only caused me real trouble on one of my missions.

There is the option of looking where you're going when flying to a waypoint, and going around anything too tough to handle.

A big source of the bughunt in JtL beta and after early release was to report missions that spawn too close to other spawns (a spawn point less than 1.5k from the center of another spawn point. They have pretty much all been found, but it's impossible to give every mission a wide open space lane for travel (and boring), and it's impossible to give every mission spawn point a 2km bubble so you don't have to worry when you fly around like mad solely focusing on your foes.

Spatial awareness is a learned skill. While travelling insystem, especially in the tier4-5 "danger" systems, you just need to pay attention.

The point is, these spawns aren't roaming, you are. You're entering their turf either during travel or during your fights, and if practice being aware, it won't happen, and there won't be a "bug" to "fix"

Now, don't take this too serious, but...

Wouldn't empty space be more immersive than crowded space? I mean, it is space after all.

No, I sure wouldn't like space as much if it was completely empty. In lots of cases (Kessel, anyone?) I wish there were more random ships out there.

Sure the occasional odd mission bugs right through an NPC spawn, but these usually aren't too bad if you remember to disable and not destroy. Although i did have one of those missions where you sit by the waypoint while repeated waves come at you, and it was right next to a T5 droid fighter spawn, that made for an interesting night.

Me loooooove the t5 droid fighters!! really, I do. well I didnt for the longest time, but I will say that they made me realize the JSF had its place and was designed almost totally correctly. I had an epiphany when they jumped me one night in the JSF. They didn't hit me anymore, the only times I got hit were when I chose to get hit, and it made me think. Who was the JSF designed to fight? Vulture droids. What am I fighting right now? Vulture droids! It made sense to me. I still say that they need to remove the Ord slot and lower the mass, but as a ship, the JSF can stay.

This is a minor anoyance to me. What really bothers me is when I get a mission to protect a freigher, and two other people with that same mission cause three freighters to hyperspace in right next to each other. Now 2/3 of the enemy ships I cannot attack since they are part of someone elses mission but <TAB> will still target them.

Yeah, that's annoying. Only way to work around it is to keep tabs on the targets marked as mission critical in your forward view scanner/radar.
