Thread: The Scyke: The Jar Jar Binks of JTL

The Rebels start with a Z-95, not exactly iconic but its an x-wing minus two wings, so there is hope! The Imps get the classic TIE fighter (although its stupid it has a hyperdrive, but thats another thread) and what to the honest to goodness frelancers get? The ugliest looking bug in 10 space sectors.
But what if it wasn't? I'm not aware if the Skyke is actually an EU ship or not, and if it is we can't mess with. So substitute this idea for a Skyke MK II if that is the case:
What if the cockpit faced the other way? and moved the engine thruster to the backaccordingly? Imagine knowing your avatar is sitting right on that engine, and the cockpit view is lined left and right with two swept wings almost defining your gunsight.
Can we get a vote on this?! Come on Devs, look lively!

Eh, yea it doesn't look the best but it still works. Devs aren't going to change it unfortunatley.

All the Privateer ships are pretty ugly to me with their stupid tube engines.

Ummm, I think it's kinda Gnarly myself.
Looks like a Manta-Ray, I like it.
Can't wait to get my High-Mass Syck!

Well.. if you take a closer look, you might notice, that the Eta Actis 2 is backwards flying Scyk with a different cockpit.

It's Scyk and it looks like an Iron Butterfly as is, I love it.

Dude, go find a Shipwright and have them make you a Syck style 2, it extends the wings forward so it makes the front sticking out just like you described lining your shot, and the back stays the same. It looks SOOO much better than style 1.

screw looks, at least the scyk drives well from 3rd person unlike the z95... the freaking reticule doesnt even move. sorry but any complaints from imps or neutrals in space get automatically ignored by me... their stuff works properly
