Thread: Ship damaged while on the ground

A couple of days ago, after some space mining in my Krayt, I travelled to Kashyyk, and asked the space station for full repairs, which cost 54 credits. Then I landed and logged out.

Yesterday, when I logged in again and went to the terminal to launch into space, I couldn't believe my eyes, virtually every system was indicating major damage. I fixed most with a repair kit, and when that ran out, the space station did the rest for a couple of thousand credits. Among other things, the condition of my large cargo hold is now down to 37, and a couple of other systems seem to be way down too.

I sent a report to CSR, but has anyone else noticed major ship damage while not in space?

Reply from CSR....nothing about this in their logs so they can't help.

Next unfortunate encounter with CSR: I was crafting a tractor beam when I lost connection. When I got back online the expensive asteroid resources were gone, but no tractor beam. CSR says they have no record, can't help.

"Sorry we can't help, we have no records on this." has to be the worst cop out ever. Who do they think keeps the records and chooses which records to log? SOE of course. I can't imagine SOE actually keeps any records related to ship comopnent damage, but if they do, what should disturb them is a lack of records to match up with the damage, not the presence of such records. The CSR's response is just ridiculous, as if SOE has a file specifically dedicated to anomaly damage that only occurs when the ship isn't even in use.

This is actually my first complaint on the SWG forums, but I really have to say, SOE's customer service is HORRENDOUS.
