Thread: are the TIer 3 privateer ships Ixiyen any good??

are they any good. my kimo is ugly, hehe
how many weapons can they carry? and how much mass? ave
and other comments?

Yeah, the FAQ has all the info. But, for people that can't translate the maneuvering numbers into some sort of reality, here's the short and simple.
Skip it That ship is one of the worst the Freelance pilots get. I've flown them all and would gladly take a Kimo with a level 2 engine over that thing.
The Ixiyen suffers from an extremely slow acceleration/deceleration (slower then a Kimo even), plus, for it's relatively lower mass, it's maneuverability is very low, barely better then a Kimo.
Now, granted, the ship itself looks quite pretty (imo at least), but that's about it. I'd stick with a Kimo/Dunelizard until you can get the Rihxyrk.

It has 2 weapons, 95k mass, big target profile, handles slightly better than a Kimo, slightly worse than a Dunelizard. I'd rather fly a Dunelizard. If you have the cash burning a hole in your pocket, try it anyway. If not, save your money for a Rhik or Belbullab-22 at tier-4.

IS the Rhik better than a dunlizrd? how abotu a heavy scyk? whenever i take them on they are slow as balls. I'm 3-3-3-0, and figured the rhik was a waste of time. I am not able to find anything better than the heavy scyk, i'm kind of disappointed that all this levelling has yet to get me a better ship.

Rhik has 3 guns and 190k mass. Heavy Scyk has 1 gun and 95k mass. The Scyk is much more maneuverable, but the Rhik has 3x the firepower. Some would call that better.
You'll like the Belbullab-22 and JSF when you hit 4/3/3/3, they have the same maneuverability stats as the Scyk, but 2 weapons.
