Thread: My Droid cmds WONT WORK!

I just got the JSF and now I'm finally back as a Alliance Ace Pilot. The first time I was master, I gotmy lvl 6 droid programmedwith all the cmds I wanted, so I would not have to worry about that the next time. When I launched into space with my fully equipped JSF and ran the Reactor Overcharge program it all worked just fine, but when I tried another program, any of them, capacitor overload, engine overload and weapon overcharge, it made all parts disabled.
I could not use my booster, weapon, capacitor, and even my droid interface was disabled (!).
Now, my question is:
What have I done wrong? I have tried with everything but it just wont work, and my reactor has more Energy than the Energy Drain. I wouldn't want to buy a new droid and re-program it again...
The same thing also happened in my Advanced X-Wing.

I tried to reboot both PC and run a full scan but the problem is still there.
It seems like a bug or smth.

Which Reactor Overload program are you using?
What's your Reactor Generation Rate before you overload?
What's your total Reactor Energy Drain for your ship?
What levels of other programs are you using?
That right there will answer if it's a bug or if you reactor just isn't kicking out enough juice.
By the way you describe it, I'd have to agree that your reactor just isn't big enough to handle it all.

I use Reactor Overload 4
13k generation rate
11k Energy Drain before launch
All other programs are also lvl 4
Maybe my reactor is too small, but still... I think I should at least be able to do one or two progs without problem.
Most of the times, all parts are still disabled when I land and launch the second time. I have to remove all parts and deed the ship and generate it again to make it go away.
Sure feels a lot like a bug to me...

All of your other programs are level 4?
If so, that's the problem right there. You won't have near enough power to overload everything. Here's why:
At RO4, your reactor will be kicking out around 24k energy or so.
At EO4, your engine will be requiring 10x the energy it did before. So a 1550 RED engine is now requiring 15500 energy.
At WO4, your weapons will *each* be requiring 10x the energy it did before. ie, for me, I've got 2 guns and 3 missles. ~7k base drain, ~70k drain if I hit WO4.
So, if you don't have a lot of low RED components, you're going to need to step it down to the level 3 overloads. Now, before the comments come flying about WO3 (yes, it's bugged and decreases RED on your weapons), I'd recommend this even if it worked normally.
I don't think SOE realized just how much power would be required from reactors when we fire up WO4. Could you imagine the size of reactor needed for a B-Wing flying with 4 level 10s?

Ah, young grasshoppper, some time on the forums is what you need! The problem you are encountering can be repaired by running an overload program, like /ethrust or /eweapons.
That, and as said above, level 4's are probably too much for your reactor. Read my sig, then read the guide linked in my guide, that'll give you numbers to work with. There's an art to running droid programs, and if you waited until ace to try them out it's gonna take some tinkering to get them to work right.

It couldn't be done, except with the more astoundingly powerful RE L7 reactors with 50K energy. No crafted or normal looted reactor could touch WO4 on a quartet of L10s and its a damned good thing too. Way too much firepower fora fighter...
