i too wish i diden't need to go to the dam store to buy a game that i don't even need tounwrapbecause i have the game on my computer and all i need is a # to activate my account.
i think it has do to with their sales because if the game is bought from the store or ordered it's not the same asbuyng a download of it and i don;t think they can get on the top 10 game sales of the month/ year from say gamestop or any other game retailer that basicaly gives them a free advertisment on there website/storefor being a popular game.
so it works both ways the game it self benefits from the stores that sell it/advertise it,and the store benefits as well.
as far as finding a store in canada that sells it, your best bet would be doing a web search for a store in your area and look on their web siteto see if they carry it.
that or order it from soe or other game retailer online.

Yah, I found a store that only charges $5 shipping. Still, that's five bucks I'd rather spent on cheezies and root beer.

What is so terrible about leaving your computer screen for 15-30 minutes and buying a game? Your computer isn't going anywhere, don't worry.

Also, if the game is no where near you, you have to bite the bullet and pay extra for shipping. That's just the way it works.

or you could go to DLgamer.com and pay to download it and get e-mailed the cd key

It's probably a case of, "not yet, but sometime.."
Another option: if you have any friends south of the border to you, have them buy it for you and email you the key. Then you can just wait on the box to arrive (but you're right- you don't need the box. The manual is about 1.5 / 5.0 for usefulness, but the discs might be handy in case of reinstall).
And here's to cheezies and root beer! (though personally I prefer chips and dew.)

Is there a reason we can't pay for JTL online, then download it?
I've been trying to get this expansion for days. First I was disappointed by the 10-day trial, which required me to download the SWG trial as well just so I could have a new account. Not worth the 29 day wait on Fileplanet. Then at the urgings of some friends, I started calling the local game stores to see if they had copies. Not a single one. No JTL anywhere near me. So now, I'm down to ordering it and paying about $15 shipping on top of the price. Starting to think it's not worth my money anymore.
I'm surprised SOE has dropped the ball on this, downloadable expansions should be pretty routine by now. A straight download would be a hell of a lot more convenient then trying to track down a copy, or ordering it for twice the price and waiting for a full week to receive it.
Hell, since I did download the JTL trial, I've pretty much got the game. Is there somewhere I can send $20 and get a damn key? Yeesh.
PS - if anyone can't point out a canadian store that can ship it to me without charging a liver and three lungs, that would be greatly appreciated.

ebgames and most of the other "bigger" software retailers usually have a free shipping option on game sales.

You can pay for JTL online, then download it via the launchpad.
Use dlgamer.com or another such service.
The launchpad will automatically always download everything you need to play.
