This may be stupid. I hope it is and its easly spolved because its donig my head in.

I have a new ship, its thesecond ship you can use as a priveteer.

it has two weapon mountings, i can load up the guns, no problem.

it when i go in to space, i click Left mouse... no fireing!! but it pops aup saying 'weapon group1 selected'.

When i click th right mouse button i get 'weapon group2 selected'.

I tried remapping the keys for about an hour.

I set all the fire button to number keys, to see which cause the ship to fire. but none did.

Help, please help...................

Did you put a reactor in? Did you put missile launchers in? If yes to both, does your reactor generate enough energy to power your missle launcher(s) and cannons? If it doesn't have enough power, sometimes it wont let your weapons fire.

If they still aren't firing, it could be your weapon group. For me, I hate weapon groupings so I don't mess with them. I went into my keymap, and set mouse button one to fire "weapon 1", button two fires "weapon 2", space bar fires "weapon 3" and 4 key fires "weapon 4".
I just find that easier for me... Of course, sometimes I do have to go back and switch the keys for different ships.
