Thread: Moving the camera in mouse-only mode?

When I first got JTL I tried playing it with my Logitech joystick, but unknown issues with the game was causing my ship to 'jump' from one location to another and back again randomly, basically 'skitting about'. I could find no solution to this other than to switch to mouse-only mode.
The only gripe I have is that I can now no longer move the camera position for looking at my ship in space (it's a bit dull being able to only see the back of my ship (and front as the . (dot) on the keypad still gives a rear view)). The camera movement keys are supposed to be on the keypad but they have no effect in mouse-only mode. Why not? Am I missing something here? Or do I have to buy a new joystick just so I can make some nice screencaps for sharing with friends?

the 0 (ins) key on the numpad lets you look around, hold it down to change view etc...
