i suck at making clicky's.

but the Evo Wireless from Saitek is one of the best i've ever used, and it's really wireless to boot.

just thought i'd throw that in the ring

The Cyborg Evo is my favourite Joystick. Its just got everything you need, with a good price-tag and it lasts for ages.

And now you can get it wireless!

I still don't understand peoples fascination with wireless technology though...

i used to be the same way, but the range on this joystick is insane. that, and i play on my alienware laptop in my living room, i can sit back in my couch comfortably and use the joystick without skipping a beat.

i used to be all about the sidewinder force feedback lines (still have for my main PC), but i like the Evo Wireless way more.

Tried the Evo and hated it, the design decision to make the exact same model useable for left and right hand ppl lead to a not-so-perfect placement of the base buttons (depending how you use it either those on the left or right are not comfortably reachable IMHO, so uncomfortable that I only consider half of the base buttons actually usable). Additionally I didn't really like the throttle control (placement and design).

I guess if my Sidewinder Precision Pro ever breaks I need to find a used one for sale somewhere, it's just perfect for my needs and the market doesn't offer a single other solution that I'd prefer over it, except maybe things like the x52, but that's quite a bit of overkill IMHO .

my current joystick is the sidewinder and i was pleasantly surprised it still worked when i plugged it in for JTL.

however, it's showing it's age, constant calibration problems... the buttons are wearing out... and the stick itself is quite loose now. nothing against that stick though, i LOVED it for a long time and beat the hell out if it.

i kinda half agree with you there, the base buttons are a bit intrusive, but i dont think it's as bad as ya say. the evo wireless is actually a slightly smaller footprint.

i've been a sidewinder fan since the day i got my first forcefeedback years ago, but i have to say, the evo wireless smoked it. i dont remember when i had this much control in my flight sim games, without a huge setup like the x45 or 52 or a thrustmaster combo.

I use an Evo myself...excellent weapon. Only thing I've seen since it that was tempting was the X52...but that's a bit extravagant.
