I picked up JTL today and EB gave me the pre-order CD along with the retail CD. I called the retailer a few times last week to see if they had the pre-order cd's but they said no. Today when I went to pick it up it was rubber-banded to my JTL box.

"Great" I thought. I can get my Flash Speeder.

When I got home and entered the key on the back of the Pre-order CD it didn't work. I tried all of the links, edit my account, etc.

Nothing.

I can register my retail CD and play JTL but when I go back and try to put in the pre-order key from the jewel case it doesn't work.

I submitted a ticket and got a response from CSR-ChrisO saying that I need to contact EB for the CD Key EVEN THOUGH I SAID I HAD IT AND ENTERED IT INTO THE TICKET. CSR-ChrisO closed my ticket...

I know I have a good key because I mis-typed it the first time and gave me a different message the second time when I re-typed it saying that I didn't have the right features on my account or something like that. Even though I already have JTL and I'm playing it...

Anyone know how to get this to work?

Now for the help.....

I pre-ordered my jtl and they messed up on the shipping so I might not see it for a very long time indeed! However, I was told that you get the number off the back of the jewel case that contains the BETA installer disk your should have receivedfirstand click on the Register Expansion button and enter this key. This gives you your pre-order speeder.

Then you enter your retail CD key in the same manner as you entered the key on your beta installer jewelcase.

PS: I had the same problem with a copy of Ghost I bought. I paid for it at best buy on a Sunday, and went and installed it and tried to activate it but the activate now button was disabled!! I spent two hours scouring their web site looking for the solution, and finally was forced to email them and wait for a reply. I was so angry I wanted to break stuff.

The next morning I got a reply with a new key and when I entered this new key, the activate now button became enabled and I was able to activate the product.

Why was I not able to activate my product? It was because they printed the activation key on the OUTSIDE of the retail box and under the pricing label they wroteusing a pen the "Activation Key ####-####-####-####!!!

So someone simply burned a copy of someone's ghost and then just waltzed into Best Buy grabbed the box I purchased, copied down the activation key and then went home and registred their pirated copy using the key on the box I bought!
