Thread: Dev's You Hate The Uk Don't Ya!

Ok, I had preordered JTL expecting to get the game on wait for it, the 29th of October - twas all said by word of mouth that all the countries will receive the same release date and then my dear fellow Thunderheart writes a post saying it was going to the 5th November till the game hops over the pond for British and european use. Well ok, fine - for whatever reasons there most prob has to be some issues they need to deal with.
And then checking on the price of expansion pack and noticing it had gone down under offer, i also notice that again, the release date has jumped one more week, from 5th November to the 12th November, and all the other websites state this too. So to try and clarify to why this has happened i look at the dear old dev posts, and guess what - they only state a November 5th release.
So my dear annoyance and in turn question is this - Why must you,Activision, feel like you have to make us wait and not really care about our customer satisfaction?
I hope that you would apologise and/or give us a special item for the europeans. For if they preordered they could get a flash speeder, and if we preorder we get jack ****. If there is a valid reason to why us europeans are being subjected todelays, please give it, for i would like to know your reason.

One more time for the reading impaired. The DEVS have zero to do with game distribution. If you have a problem go complain to who is responsible and that is ACTIVISION. The Publisher Lucas Arts I am sure pressed more then enough copies but for some unknown reason Activision is not releasing to those of you in the UK until either the 5th or the 12th. I have heard both.
Once again, game developers have nothing to do with distribution. That is an entirely different department. Go complain to them.

Aren't SOE providing the service and aren't they answerable for this problem whether they caused it or not? I think that's all anyone is asking and it's not a great deal of trouble for someone at SOE to use the boards (or any other communications medium) to inform their customers just what has happened.
I'll agree though that the developers will have little or no dealings withthe distribution side of the game but there are people employed for community relations. Well relate please.

Well what i was annoyed at really, was the fact of no announcement. Thing is Star Wars games usually do very badly over in england, and Activision where caught totally unprepared for the unexpected popularity of Star Wars Battlefront. But what i was originally annoyed about was that the Dev's don't really care i see the Dev's responsible for the game, not activison, Lucas Arts too in some respect but it's totally not fair for them to have offers for Americans only.
In short what i am trying to say is "SOE, no matter how 'blind' ofcountries outside americathey may be, fail to compensate for international competion and customer base. This explains why the Americans get all the offers and we're left with having to wait for it too arrive in our countries"
And in even shorter point what i am trying to say is... "It's unfair that we're not treated the same"
