Thread: Playing Grouped in Space?

Hello all,


Last night a friend and I tried to go out into space together to help him learn a bit. We both left the coronet spaceport at the same time and were grouped, but we were unable find eachother in space.


I used the /findfriend command and followed the waypoint to 0m but he was not there. Now mind you we were in the same physical room in RL and I could see where he was and vice versa, but in game we were unable to see eachother.


Were we zoned differently? What am I missing?

If he is brand new to JtL he was probably in the one of the two new player zones for each starting planet (naboo, corellia, tatooine). When you start out as a novice player your missions are in a new player zone until you complete the four tier 1 missions, keeps higher level players from killing your mission spawns and cuts down on congestion with new players. After he completes those missions or if you both go to a higher level sector like dantooine you'll see each other.

I was going to help a friend last night but they hadn't completed the first four yet I had ... thank you ... now I know why
