Realisticly and by historicly the only ties that used sheilds during our time era in star wars was the Tie Advanced, Tie Prototype(vaders), and Tie Defender. They didnt have sheilds for the tie fighter and tie interceptor becuase they were too heavy, though up until Thrawns campaign is when they actually put sheilds on tie interceptors.
So basicly just get a large group of people.
Anywaytiesshipsaren't screwed up, the AI is. First ofall the Tie's have small profiles so they shouldnt be hit often as they do when you tie pilots get shot at by npc ships, they are overly accurate, and dont get me started on the the whole agressor back turret.
really if the ai was fixed and a little dummied down towards accuracy alot of us wouldnt be complaining. heck, ever do pvp? we miss all the time, yet the npc is supposed to be life like and there aiming is near god like.
