Cap ship range is up to 1200m, how exactly is 750m going to help you? Anyways, until they fix a lot of stuff so that Cap ships aren't soloable, Im not inclined to agree with doing anything to make them easier to kill.

ummmm... i SOMEWHAT agree. I think the missile lock range on proton torpedos should be increased but space bombs and other heavy missiles should stay the same. I mean in all fairness you should have to be pretty close to a target to get a "lock" with the heavies since they aren't designed to be used against small, fast-moving ships. Other than that I feel the distance to lock with other missile types (concussion, seismic, etc) is fine the way it is.

blasters need to travel faster, blasters need to have a range of around 1km-1.5km, missiles, depending on the type should have a range of AT LEAST 2km.

The lag issues that would create, I think, would negate the benefit of having that sort of range. I agree with you from a SW technical perspective, but I don't suspect we will see that sort of thing in this generation of MMOs. Or, really, this generation of internet technology. That being said, blasters do have a much better range than many people assume they do. The disappearance of the targeting reticle does not coincide with your target ship escaping the range of your guns. When you fly a lead boat like a Longprobe, you learn that pretty early on.

A torpedo is suppost to out range a capitol ship or match it who said anything about solo'n anything just think its a little silly to get blown out of the sky before u get a lock at least with more range u could have a better chance of dodging the blaster from capitol ships...and if the capitol ship now have more range why can't our MP ships have a boost so we can accually use them...

I think people who say "He's got a bigger toy, I need a bigger toy too!!"..
Have NO imagination and have no internal resources for problem solving and will be doomed to a life of needing other people to compensate for those deficiencies.

Dude! Get some in game friends and attack that Capitol Ship!

Stop being such a pansy!

That´s just a bad a whining as the whining you whine about (gosh what a sentense)

Not everybody has enough people he can ask for assistance, some don´t have enough cash/resources for decent equipment and so forth....

Attacking a cap ship does not make much sense when you are almost without shield or even worse allready down to armorwhen reachingFireing Solution. So SoE should definatly enhance the player´s weapons range!

It exists already in this "generation of internet technology". XWA had accurate missle and blaster ranges, and supported online. Doesn't compare, you might start to say, until you consider we used to play on the MSN Gaming Zone with 6 players, with 2 wings each, all in X-Wings, vs. a SD and a full flight of TIEs on multiple spawns. That played fine on dial-up. The graphics were not *quite* as high-end as JTL, but pretty close. It is, however, ridiculous when I'm blasting at an enemy ship with my lasers/ion guns/whatever, and I get a "That target is out of range of your missiles" message when I hit the missile launch button. Missiles are LONG RANGE assault weapons, even space bombs and seismic charges. Now maybe the higher level ordnance has better range, but I'm using a level 3 Launcher with level 3 Ammo, and level 2-3 blasters....

ummmmm ONE OF THREE OF THE FIRST MASTER REBEL PILOTS HERE ON FLURRY(we did the mission together). I've destroyed 12 corvette's and 9 Star destroyers already...not looking for bigger toys just think it be nice for missles to have the same range as capitol ship turrets....not complaining just making a suggestion....pansy is a word for ppl like u that have nothing better to do than go around and bash peoples idea's.

Instead of increasing the lockout range how about another option... all missilescan bedumb-fired with a max burn range of 1000m. If it's not locked it goes in a straight line and detonates either on contact or at a range of 1000m.

I think the missile lock range should be higher regardless of whether Capitol ships have a large range or not... with the current lock range I'm practically in range for blasters before I get a missile lock.
