Heya all.
Something that's been bugging me quite a while. Why are we living in a box? I mean c'mon a planet fitting inside a Space no bigger then 16x16x16km? O_o
It's kinda annoying hitting the edge o.t. universe all the time... especially when your in a dogfight situation, or worse are fighting capital ships like the Corvette (ever get stuck at 8000 8000 8000? No? You should try it!

).Any chance of that ever changing? Or at least "expanding"?

or maybe making it so u enter deep space or connecting things...i dont know

One possible solution with the current engine could be that it`ll be expanded to 64x64x64kn but keep the spawn's (NPC'S) and the Stations and suff within a radius of 32x32x32km. That way the "Illusion" of Open space would be more realistic.
Or change it to a way like in X or in Space Sim's alike. You can keep going on and on in each direction, but the Stations and spawns and stuff are within 100x100x100km or somthing.
Would also proof as an advantage to rolplayers that wanna be overt for an event, and out of the way of griefers. By simply flying out far... and giving that WP to all who are involved in the event.

How about when you leave say the southern edge, you are at the northern edge and so on. Come to think of it, thiswould work for much better on the ground, as planets are supposed to be balls, not flat squares...

Good ideas GIzmo. Would be a good effect with little effort needed.

I was suggesting the empty space buffer zone to give the illusion of vast space, back in the beta forums. Sticking stations and NPC right at the edge was the dumbest thing ever.
If its 16x16 now, it needs to be 32x32 but leave the spawns and stations where they are.
Its is FAR TOO SMALL.

Yea space Is too small, I was being chased by a whole fleet of enemies once when finally I got the message "You have reached the limit of your starflight engines.. bla bla bla" lame excuse for how small space Is.. needs to be tripled I think..
