All I can say is that, while JTL is an awesome add-on, it has drained almost all of the cities on Tat. And this is on Ahazi, the 2nd largest of the galaxies. Notably, you'll be luck to see four people in Anchorhead at one time nowadays. Does anyone else agree with me?

It's probably a temporary thing, once the newness of JTL wears off, people will return to the ground game. Of course, some people will still spend more time in space than on ground, but I think the current situation is temporary.

Must be Ahazi. While JTL has a lot of people blasting off into space, on my server there is still a lot of events going on on the ground. But right now the ground game still has more to offer.

especially for scyllia, you never see anyone in space on my server, let alone on the ground, not to mention 5-6 new "goodbye" threads on the scyllia boards every day.

Once everyone has completed Pilot, they will run out of things to do in space. There isnt much content compared to the ground game. No instanced dungeons, no quests other than pilot and once you have been to deep space a couple times, that will wear off.
If there were the ability to enter the space stations, with bazaar terminals, banks, cantina, med centers etc. It might be then possible to stay up there for extended periods.

I here what you say about the new MMOs, but it's been this way since the launch of JTL. Must be Ahazi though, can't even see friends in AH anymore

Actually this is nothing new, many servers had beenrunning low on population since before jtl.
Another misconception is that everyone is in space. Space is no different then the ground, only thing is many people hung around around to check jtl and now that its been done things are back to the way they were.

Last time I was in Anchorhead during prime playing time there was an AFK entertainer and some new rebel sitting there healing himself, so I always thought Anchorhead was dead.
Anyways, I always see people in Bestine and Coronet, not to mention Theed is still kickin' so I'm not positive what you are talking about.... unless people on Ahazi never go to static cities to begin with.

I dont think its JTL, I spend as much if not more time on the ground just prepairing for a space mission. Shadowfire has been dead the last couple weeks to, everyone is playing WoW. Holidays probably have alot to do with it also.

/points to launches of a few other new MMO games
That is probably a bigger culprit right now.
