Whats the difference between the ywing and the ywing longprobe ..(will i be able to use the additional weapons with the longprobe?). The regular ywing allows me to add 2 weapons but I can only fire one?

Y wing:
150K mass
1 weapon hardpoint
1 Turret hardpoint (requires a buddy in your ship to use it)
1 missle launcher mount.
Y wing Longprobe:
170K mass
2 weapon hardpoints ( turret is locked forward and rewired to be able to be used by the pilot)
2 Missle launcher mounts.

the B-wing is worse on handling than i have ever seen. The thing handles like a drunken bantha. Don't plan on dogfighting in it.
As for the Y-wing, make sure to group the weapons with G to fire at the same time.
And i don't think its really a turret in the long probe, just a gun on top. The images of the two ships looks different. One has a turret. One has a gun on top.

Its nice having the turret gun available as the pilot in the Y-wing Longprobe, but I think it would be logical to have it able track the target, at least though a limited range forward (or at least a droid command to do that). Just starting on Tier 3, the lack of maneuverability in one's Y-wing is a real handicap.

That's the issue. I love my X-wing but due to it's lack in mass, I have to sacrifice so much just to have a decent engine, capacitor and weapons. I'm just starting tier 4 for the rebels and considering going back to the ywing due to it's large mass.

So I can group my weapons on my Ywing (not longprobe) and use them both myself? If so, how do I do it? That mini sentence about G didn't help me out on that.

No, In a Y-wing you can only use the one gun. If you want 2 you have to use th longprobe. The statment about grouping the weapons together was for the longprobe. This makes it were you can shoot both weapons at the same time.

Just for clarification, can you have a buddy man the turret in the longprobe or is the longprobe's second gun always locked forward? Also, can the gunner use the second missile launcher? How is the second missile launcher used?

It will be ages before I get an X-wing so I cannot compare but I got an engine with all numbers between 63.7 and 65.4, with this and engine overload 3 my Y-wing turns rapidly at full speed.

I've tried.
Y-wing Longprobe does not have a gunner position and you can't take anyone along for the ride.
Its a single seater all the way.
