Thread: My impressions on the a-wing

I got my a-wing last night, and even though i thought i wouldnt like it, i had a whole lot of credits to spend, so i went ahead. I was actually a little surprised. here are my impressions
PROS
is very manuverable once you get the hang of controling it, its nice to be able to outmanuver those ties for once
is incredbly fast
the one weapon allows it to be a hold down the trigger kind of ship with a good cap
CONS
not enough mass or weapon slots to allow for it to effective in dishing out pain or taking it
The a-wing is probably the funnest ive flown yet, but i cant say its better than my longprobe or x-wing

Remember, the ships are designed for different roles.
The A-wing might not be as effective for gunning down a gunboat or whatever, but its amazing at what it does. You can take down most fighters with ease (Except those damned tail-gunning Agressors
) and not much can get behind you and stay there.

The a-wing is the best for gunboats because it is so small you can hide inside it and just blast away.

Well that was just an off-the-top-of-my-head thing, basically i'm saying it might not be teeming with guns but its manuverability is not to be taken lightly.
