im on the final tier 3 mission for the black elipsone and its and easy mission until then end, me and two masters cant seem 2 do it,
mission starts as
simple capture and esort (easy)
simple survive transmission (easy)
destroy a gun boat, slightly difficult
up until this piont i can solo the whol thing and this is where it gets super hard.
another gun boat with fighhters too destroy, and this gun boat is tier 4 and is so tough me and 2 master cant kill him...
Is bomber strike the only way to manage this, because thats the skill im trying too get by doing this mission, am i really stuck, i think so, so some only please help, or ill kill myself.......\
-cheers

That last mission is the hardest one in Tier 3. That Gunboat is a real killer.
I had the help of two near ace Imperial pilots and we barely killed the thing. That was after taking out the fighter escort and going in fresh (or pretty close to) against the gunboat. We dumped two Bomber Strike 2s and one BS 1 on it - (thats 12 Interceptors, 5 Bombers, and2 TIEs!) in addition to our own ships. My "wingmen" (the near aces) were flying Agressors and both of them got wacked twice trying to take it out.
And yes, we were shooting to disable the engines and guns on it first to make it easier.
My advice is to get more people to help. You, as the mission person, should stay out of the fighting - because if you get killed the mission is for naught.
I wish you luck - I hated that last mission...'cause I failed it about a dozen times before beating it by learning to stay as far from that thing as I could.

we finished that mission with 3 people(none of us masters), me in an TIE Interceptor, the others in a TIE Agressor and turret ...we threw in additional bomberstrikes for some canonfodder, and kept picking away on the shields and the individual guns. The good thing about the Agressor is that even when fleeing from the gunboat, the reargunner can still keep shooting. My Interceptor had a good engine so I was able to dodge most of the shots coming from the gunboat, while I kept picking away on its weapons. Take your time, and concentrate all fire on the same weaponry for all pilots, its easier to go that way.

Ya I know how you feel. I'm stuck on that mission too. I'm bringing a friend with a suped up bomber to take it out. Hopefully we'll all be able to take out this sucker. That ship is insanely hard. If a person can solo that thing then you are truley the best cause there is no way you can.

I've done this mission twice. Each time we had one person with a bomber and the other three with interceptors or advances. Everyone would call their bomber strike on the gunboat and then target weapon 0. Worked pretty good both times.
