So I've been trying to do this one for a while now simply cause I hate having to take a Vortex mission, die, land, run back to the abandoned base, get the mission, head back to the mining outpost, launch, get killed, rinse and repeat.

I've got a Y-Wing (can't afford the darn Long Probe yet) and have the first and second tiers of pilot certs locked in.

Has anyone actually completed this mission yet?

I can save the freighter, escort it, waste the Logistics officer and his escort but I get scraped when trying to have to deal with 7 various TIEs at once when rescuing the rest of the freighters.

Any suggestions?

"not every mission is soloable, especially the higher tier ones."

This mission is *most* useful if you happen to be in Vortex Squadron, because the trainers for Vortex are in the abandoned Rebel Base. With the tweaks to the AI, the first Tier3 mission is *very* difficult to complete solo, and I, for one, have had trouble finding someone to group with for this mission.

This means that every time I attempt the tier3 mission and fail, I have to take a long drive back out to the base to get the mission again. I'd love to take this "special landing permissions" mission, but there's a slight problem....

It's geared/balanced towards pilots who are at least halfway through Tier3 or are in Tier4 already, when the "special access" no longer makes any sense.

So, when I try to complete the "special access" mission, I always end up exploding and failing the mission. Remember, I can't find *anyone* who is willing to group up to get this mission done.

And I'm in a Guild with some fairly active JtL players...
