So up until now my squad leader guy has trained me.. but this guy I have now gave me a really hard mission that I can't do. But I now have exp enough to get some higher level boxes so I can get a better ship so I can do the mission.. So where do I go to get trained now?

You don't go to someone else. You have to get past his mission to get taught. I suggest finding someone to help, best way to do it. Once you hit tier 3, you start needing help sometimes.

"Since only Officers get bonus resistances with battle armor, the best stormtroopers must be officers. I guess in some view this is probably why George depicted them as horrible shots in the original trilogy, because they were too busy arguing over who was of higher rank to aim accurately."

Hmm. I was afraid they were gonna do something lame like that... they have such a nice space expansion thing but somebody somewhere decided to be retarted...

I was afraid you were gonna post something lame like that. We have a really interesting mission system that actually teaches you how to fly, as opposed to rewarding "he who grinds fastest" and you had to go and call it retarded.

PS- if you do beat the mission and you have a choice between a new ship and better equipment, don't pick the new ship, you'll just be back here whinging about how hard your next mission is.

This is true. I finished my first Tier 3 mission, and grabbed my TIE Bomber. Level 4/5 Equipment is NOT good enough for one of those. So yeah, get the equipment upgrade first, then the new ship.

3 tier have some of the hardest missions out of the 4 tiers.

The best trick you can learn to do them is to know you can hyper-jump inside the system and it won't end your mission, but will end the agro you had.

You can then repair your ship, etc, although missions do tend to have time limits, so don't waste any.
