Thread: Questions about Firespray...

I read the FAQs and found that the Firespray is a RE reward. However, the search function is currently down and I can't get any more than that. I would like to get a Firespray to 'celebrate' my Master Freelancer status. How much should I expect to pay for a chassis plan, and where should I go to get one? I have yet to see one on any of the vendors I've been to. While I am asking, do people collect spaceship parts and have SW's reverse engineer them for their ships? Is there some 'usual cost' for that sort of thing, or are the regular crafted piecesbetter and effectively remove the use of RE'd components?

Thanks!

Though I don't have the answers to all of your questions, here is what I do know. I happened to see two Firespray on the bazaar (player vendors) on the Lowca server. So they are out there and available. Just go to that vendor and purchase it. I don't recall what they were going for, but, I expect them to be pretty steep. Better start saving up.

To get a Firespray shematic, a Shipwright must find 8 Kuat Disks wich are numbered one through eight. These drop from Reverse Engineering. It can take very very long to get one set (I know, I practically live in space since JTL release and RE my butt off day by day ). And once you can do a shematic it can have from 2 up to (never seen this, but it is said to be possible) 20. Most i´ve seen was a shem with 5uses so far though.

Now to make them GOOD firesprays you need state-of-the-art resources...

When JTL was released, all this work involved caused them to cost like 7Million each (as a min in auctions). Nowadays it dropped to like 4M. Hence for about 4Million credits you should be able to buy one off a vendor

But to tell you the truth, the firaspray aint that good-a-ship. It´s very nice as a B-Wing or TIE-Bomber replacement, since those ships are totally sluggish in stearing... but that´s all it´s really good for (and roleplay of course.) It´s weapons dont (like all others) converge. And the weapons on the FSP are quite far from one annother, wich makes it difficult to hit anything at the start (you´ll get used to it though).

If you have more questions, dont hesitate to ask

Good Luck m8...

Bomb20- I basically wanted a firespray because the stats listed on the shipwright FAQ and Pilots FAQ make it seem like it's one of the best ships Freelance pilots can use (or rather, everyone can use it, but it's better than the other Freelance specific ships). I know what you mean by the weapons not converging; my Kimogila's weapons didn't either and it makes precise targeting more difficult. I haven't been back to Star Wars long, and haven't grouped at all yet, so I don't have a feel for what are considered the better ships. What ships seem to be considered the best, and why?

Thanks again!

For PvE it is generally accepted that the Krayt is number 1. There are players that enjoy other ships obviously, but the Krayt is really very good. For PvP of course you want either the jedi fighter or the Grevious. They are nimble, have mass enough for that one RE'd lvl 10 gun (which is all PvP is, first shot wins) and have a tiny profile.

I am Imperial and thus cannot use the Krayt for PvE. I use a Firespray and actually like it quite a lot now that I've gotten targeting spot on. For me it was about mass and spray had nice enough mass for a full loadout of Image Rec's and guns while maintaining that fighter feel at the controls.

I'm hoping the Dev's repair multiplayer ships or make them viable long before they impliment capital ships but I suppose thats a whole nother' discussion and I doubt any of us will actually be playing long enough to know...;p

PvP: Any ship that is small, fast and therefor hard to hit. Like JSF or Belbullab or Khyraaz...

PvE: Krayt for daily use... Firespray for Bombing runs (like corvette or ISD in DS). The Krayt is LARGE... hence it´s no good in PvP, you become a mobile target in it. But it packs more firepower then any other neutral ship (3 guns front, one turret for a gunner).
