Sorry but i searched and looked at old posts and couldn't find the answer anywhere.
What is the maximum number of people you can have in Multi-Passenger ships?
Any difference between the luxury yacht and YT-1300 cap etc.?

No more that 7 feet tall and 320 pounds.

Anyone know for certain though? 
Trying to plan an event and I don't want to make more spots available and then have to leave someone behind.

Im pretty sure it's 20 because you can only bring up people who are in a group with you, and the max number of people in a group is 20.

No ... I remember them saying ships can't hold 20. I'm almost certain it's 12.

I thought I heard once that it was the same as how many you could bring on a corvette mission. How many is the max for that?

I am fairly certain that the 12 people limit was scrapped and that a full group is now supported in multiplayer ships. I will try to hold a party on my Yacht this evening to see how many i can get in there...

i'm getting alot of varied reports...
Some say 10, 12 and 20.
Can someone actually try to get a full group of 20 and see how many make it onto the ship?
