Thread: Boosters are bugged...

Don't know if this is the right place to put bugs for JtL, but the boosters last night was bugged. I even tried to remap my keys to see if the button on my joystick didn't work. This needs to be fixed, especially with the missions coming up that are timed and you need a booster to get to them before they warp out of the area.

Other than that, I haven't seen any other bugs...although the color pallate for the window color could use some more options. There are only 3 available for JtL instead of the 12 or so available for the ground game.

Thanks

Im assuming by bugged you mean didnt work.

This maybe obvious but did you check if you had sufficent energy? If your reactor cant produce enough power for all your equipment, some of it wont work....usually effected first are Boosters,Missile Launchers and Countermeasures.

Check your Ship management screen at a Starship Terminal- if the total Reactor power is in Red, its means you have a power deficeit so you either need a bigger reactor or to reduce your energy output somehow, otherwise some of your equipment wont work.

This can catch you out, because unlike mass, you can have a hugh powerdefeceitbut still launch (eg you could fit all level 6 equipment & power it with a Level 1 reactor - but none of it would work when you got into space). Always keep an eye on the Reactor Outputlevel when outfitting a ship....a couple of hundred over the total reactor output usually wont effect anyhting unless you start do weps/engine/shield overloads etc, if it alot more than that, take something off or get another reactor.

This seems to be simply a binding problem. I was able to get around it by using the booster commands.

/boosterOn

/boosterOff

/boosterToggler

Set up a macro for these and at least you'll have functionality again.

I am having the same problem today. My boosters wont work, in fact no booster will work on any of my ships, even after unloading and redeeding and reloading. I also have tried everything I can think of. I logged out and back in, unloaded boosters, launched, hit B and then landed and reloaded boosters, double, tripple, and quadrupple checked my keybindings, this is definately a bug. Thanks for the macro workaround, but would still like to find a true fix for the bug.

peace,
