With the muliplayer ships (specifically the nova) are the roles of pilot and gunner interchangeable? I.e can a crew member pilot the ship while the owner uses the turrets, or have no one piloting and just gunners?
Also, if anyone on intrepid is selling novas for cheap (i.e. < 500K) can they give me a waypoint

They are not quite interchangeable. You must be certified to fly the ship in order to be the pilot. For instance, a Master Freelancer (Smuggler's Alliance) can go up in a Master Freelance (CorSec) friend's YT and Pilot it, but the Black Vortex pilot they bring along can not take that seat. Any passenger can man the turrets or the CoPilot seat. Whoever is in the CoPilot seat can use the Abilities Window (ctrl-A) to load the ship FC/Astromech commands into F-keys. The CoPilot and the turret gunners are all able to perform Pilot Special Tactics abilities as well as Droid Commands loaded on the ship FC/Mech, but the gunners can not use ctrl-A to look at what Droid Commands have been loaded.
*Edit* This was not thoroughly tested and parts have been said to be incorrect. See below. Sorry for the confusion.

Thats not 100% true.
Anyone can /sit in it but only the same members of the faction as the pilot can use the droid commands the pilot has aboard.

Anyone can /sit in the Pilot/CoPilot seat, but only members of the same pilot faction can man those positions.

Ok I have experienced that the co-pilot has to be the same faction too. I have had imp friends and rebel friends on my YT and they were not allowed in the co-pilots seat. They were also not able to do pilot special abilities or driod commands from the gunners seat.
