BEFORE space becomes pointless, as in...mastering it, end space game.

Umm, I have multiple masteries, and it isn't boring. I spent the afternoon with a few guildies flying around in my decimator just having fun, exploring, blowing stuff up, giving them tours of Deep Space.

I just dont get it. Even if i suck, whay cant i have a multi pasinger walkable ship?

I understand the factonial ships, but...I realy just want to load up with my friends and go into space and have some adventures...

i have a yacht...but..

But i cant really do combat or missions in it.

The draw for me is playing with my friends as a crew. We have all just come back and we wanted to pitch in an get us a multi person ship and do space stuff together.

But the only way to do this is if i master the profession... whats the fun in that?

Its the journey that is the fun... not the end.

I dont want to be "The best" i can be in the profession before i can do things with my friends.

You just said it's the journey and not the end that's fun...but you want to skip right to the end reward!

Presumably multipassenger ships are more complicated to fly, and require more skill. Either way, if you have a group of pilots working together you can reach master in a matter of days. I'd rather see them kept at master, for the challenge.

Its only the end reward because thats where they have put it.

I don t want the best ship or the best guns or anything like that. I want to pilot a ship with my friends and go on adventures with them while we learn the "skills".

I don t want hand out, i want to do just what i said. Its more a a difference of play styles i suppose. I just don t see the point of mastering a profession in order to explore, and play the space part of this game in the setting i proposed.

Like i said, the fun would be crewing a ship with my friends as we gained the skills of the profession. Not mastering the profession then being able to play as a crew with my friends.

This is what i think of when i think of what i would do in Star wars in space.

I highly doubt that every ship we have seen in the movies was piloted by an ace.

The POB ships are the end reward because they're cool. You don't just get handed cool stuff in any game, you have to work for it. It's not about what the movie references say, or what some guy in a book did, it's about how the game works. Cool stuff must take effort to get, otherwise why play the game?

Making the new speeders is also cool. But you have to master Artisan to do it. You can't tame a rancor without being a Creature Handler. Can't wield a lightsabre unless you're Jedi.

People really want the POB ships, therefore they're the endgame. Otherwise why master the profession?

Unfortunatly with SOE they make major time/money sinks for anything really cool or iconic. Leave it to SOE to make you work for Star Wars Content.

Han Solo: "Flying a ship isnt like dusting crop boy! All you need is to calculate through a Super Nova and that would end your trip real fast!Strap in, im gonna make the jump to light speed!"

Obviously it takes more then flying over a farm to know what your doing on a large corellian ship. Basically it takes five people to run one efficiantly. Two minimum to run with weapons and if four to five minutes just to start systems.

With the programs and the flying around, and being that these ships are very large in bulk and fly like rocks you best learn from the trainers, and from experiance how to fly these puppies as they are not easy! They are fun but you can easily be destroyed if you dont know what your doing in a ship that size!

I found it very rewarding when i mastered pilot but in combat, i think multiperson ships are useless.

No one said you need to master pilot to get a POB ship. Just wait 180days to earn the yacht.

oops missed where you said you had one, well there are other options.

Rebels get a 2 seater very early on (Ywing), and anotherdifferent one at tier4 (ARC)

Imperials get the TIE aggressor, but with some work can get the ARC.

A freelance can become a rebel to get the ARC pretty easily, and not sacrifice piloting to do it. Apart from that, they operate on the better late than never principle, getting the awesome Krayt at master.

Lot's of people slag the Ywing, and hate the need for 2 to give full firepower, but I think that's the answer you're looking for, if you're a Rebel. I've had great fun with them.

probably because devs thought mp ships would be worth a sh*t and then everyone would be flying one.

Well, you could get a Master Pilot friend to take the rest of your buddies up there...

MP Ships are great fun to walk around in and decorate, less fun to use. Aside as using it as a floating house, it's just for laughs. I'd take a Aggressor/Krayt over a VT or YT myself.

If your on Bria Galaxy, I will show you a ship that is worth a damn!

Multiplayer ships are not for fighting in deep space and PVP. Its more like a ship used for advancing other players and doing lesser missions as some people do not like spending their hard earned money to buy a ship they will replace later on anyway!

So alot of people get addicted to my ship, (YT-1300 class) The Eclipse. The Eclipse is no ordinary ship.. it boasts of powerful weapons, hitting teir 4 ships two to three times and destroying them. Also the Eclipse IV has very fast engines, 117 speed to be exact.

Speed = finding ships alot faster, powerful guns = killing things alot faster.... The Multiplayer ships have meaning in this game for PVE not PVP. Though Id love to see a PVP roll in it for them they dont belong in fast and furious PVP action as there are small type fighters that are very difficult to kill, such as the A-wing, Tie fighters the advanced ones, the nuetral Vakasai Starfighter and the now popular Jedi Starfighters!

These smaller ships were designed to do space battles, not freighter goods like the YT-1300. The Decimator and the NOVA are also ships that boaster firepower but are not made for dog fighting as well...

I hope they change this aspect of multiplayer ships but really how much can you do with a ship that is supposed to be for transporting such as the YT 1300 class multiplayer ship. Problem is we have nothing to transport. So I transport people back and forth for XP runs and loot!

But to say they dont have a place in the game is down right inaccurate.
