Thread: Few JTLS Newbie Problems

So I've been playing SWG for awhile but I justgot jtls. I'm trying to fly this thing in space (It's just a free starting luxary ship)but after I use the star port I'm in the sky just sitting there. ALl that happens when I press W,A,S,D or UP, DOWN, LEFT, or Right. ALl that happens is the nose moves back and forth and it will turn upside down than back to right side up, any help. I'm stuck in space. How do I land? This whole space thing is confusing.

+ and - are your throttles, for the joystick impaired.
I highly recommend joining a squadron, I'm pretty sure there's a tutorial when you first launch in a starfighter. At least, there used to be.

I tried using the throttles but nothing happens, this bar just goes up in down, I even tried the boosters it just sits there

if you are seriously stuck, message a guy to help you target him (L for closest friendly target), /duel him and let him blow you up. You can then ask the station to land, but you will want to repair first, use C to target the station again, and use /comm to talk to him again. If you are close enough you can try that before resorting to /duel.
That said, you should be able to use the home key for full speed, and end for full stop. If you are in 'typing mode' and see the +++++++++++ appear in the text chat hit enter and you should go back I think. Use 'Alt' if you see the mouse cursor, so you are using the mouse for manuvering.

No, I can get unstuck by quiting the game I come back in at the starport but my ship wont move, I tried all of that. When I press the throttle the bar moves all up and down but I don't move, is it the ship? Because it's just a luxary yact.

You need to use the throttle if you want to go anywhere. I have no idea what keys that is, I use a joystick. Take a look at the key map if noone chimes in here.

Are you sure ? You just need to up the throttle and wait for the terrible acceleration to kick in.

was it a yacht u said? then exit ship station and use the escape pod hatch... it should get u out of there
