Think about armor last hehe. Grab yourself a good set of Mark IV guns (although it's best to RE some good ion cannons with disruptors, get about .7 across the board), RE the reward shields, get a good 90+spd engine, good cap and reactor (weight is key for reactor), and you are good to go. Most of the time when they eat through your shields you're already dead imo. I'd suggest using your best lightweight stuff first, then see what weight youhave to tinker with. Plus it never hurts to start hunting the trade forums for good parts, or ask some friends to keep an eye for good loot while they are flying.
