Thread: North American Vs. Euro Release: When will servers be updated?

Just a quick query regarding the delay in Euro release of JTL with respect to the North American release. I know it's only 3 days, but are these going to be 3 days when American players who play on Euro servers will be able to craft ships and launch to space before we Euro players can (as we won't be able to buy JTL for those 3 days)?
Or has this already been considered and are the Euro servers not being updated serverside until the 29th?
I ask partly out of curiosity, and partly out of a balance issue. If American players on Euro servers will be JTL enabled 3 days earlier than Euro players, that will make it harder for Euro Shipwrights to compete, as we will be 3 days behind in production of chassis/components.
I know that an obvious answer some will give will be to pre-order from the US, but by the time postage is taken into account I don't really see that helping... plus I don't feel that is an adequate response to this.
This isn't a 'the Americans get everything first' moan... just a query regarding balance.

And, on the same note: will the beta testers be able to enter JTL on live servers as soon it goes live? I mean, it might take a couple of days to get hold of the retail box, especially for us non-US players.
I am hoping I will be able to continue the betatesting in the 'post-release beta' environment

29 October is that official for Europe release?
I know in Europe or just UK that game releases are normaly on a Friday but if Final Fantasy can release an expansion world wide on the sameday I see no reason why SOE cant release JTLS on the same day world wide.

They are telling me 29th here in Sweden.

Germany gets it 9 days before the rest of Europe (Ebgames germany says next wensday)? You might want to preorder from a company with better distribution access.

I don't know for definite that the dates of 26th for north america and 29th for europe are definite.. but they now seem pretty consistent across sources.. and they look about right for the timing of beta too. I think they are pretty reliable (well, except for the german pre-release there 
)
