As far as linked fire controls ideathat is to complicated in an age of space travel. Sarcasm alert!
Allternatively, I would like to see a /hiregunner option available from a starport npc that allows master pilots the ability to /hire a gunner for there multi gunner ships.
The longerthe npc gunneris highered the better he gets.
This might mean the introduction of maintence for certain datapad items.

I always see people spamming in starports for people to be their gunners on missions.
Whats wrong with that?

Because many people hate 2bgunner in small ships. It´s hard to hit stuff

Pffth... its a multiplayer ship, but multiple players in it.
I read so many posts where players want to replace other players with AI.
Had another one today where someone wanted an NPC that would heal wounds for a fee.
Newer pilots will be happy to help you out as they get lots of xp.

Wow, that must certainly suck.
Usually, all I have to do is go out in front of the starport and say, "I need a gunner for..." I get about that far before I get about 4 tells.

Some peps don't like being a guner simply because gunners don't get any loot. Everything goes to the pilot.

Two problems:
1) AI Gunners aremore accuratethan human gunners so alot of the MP in the MP ships would be moot.

2) Every master pilot would always be flying in his MP ship all the time. I don't think the devs intend for YTs, Decimators and Novas to be the most common sight in space. If someone can go through the effort to gather and, perhaps, train a crew including gunners then they should be able to fly an MP ship. Otherwise you'd never see a conventional fighter again.

5 stars for you. To me, asking for even less than accurate droids to man the turrets is tantamount to asking for AimBots.

whenever my friend andI fly, I always jump at the chance to be the gunner. To me it is more fun, and it is cool to know, if someone is on your tail, you have someone shooing him/her away.

Better yet, why not just add /hirepilot so you can send your ship off to space to complete your mission while you sit on the ground???

First of all, this is not true. In the MP ships all the loot goes in the lootbox where it may be divided up among the crew. Of course if the owner of the ship is greedy he can screw you out of your loot but I've never seen that be a real problem. Also, everyone in the ship gets equal XP for each kill even if you, personally, don't hit the enemy ship. So, that's a lame reason to use as an excuse for not wanting to be a gunner. I know people who aren't very good pilots but are EXCELLENT gunners. Its cool that there's a role for those kinds of players in space.
