Ok this is not a space question. but ever sence i have installed JTL if i get near a group of NPC IMps i ma attacked. get a TEF that will not clear. and froced to fight or let myself get killed to clear it. I have logged out for several hours and still carry the TEF, but it is not visable by my name. I can afford the item decay. and try to avoid the main citys of Mos Espa* and Kor Vella. Both are places we need to go too for rebel training or travel to theam park.

any Idea as to what is happening

that is not an option as when you are fighting you cant travel ... and you can t call peace with the IMPs. and they have the star port. I could burst run to another city. travel to another starport.

not likely though. but possible.

If you had been scanned and popped overt at an earlier time, then you would remain overt (and therefore open to these "unprovoked" attacks) until you visited a rebel recruiter and asked to go covert. You can find one at any rebel player base, or in certain rebel NPC cities, such as Anchorhead, Rebel Outpost on Rori, Moenia, etc.

One quick way to check and see if you really are overt though is to open your character sheet (ctrl-c) and look over by where it shows your current rebel/imp faction standing. Right above that it should give your current overt/covert status and if your rebel or Imp. If you just got through loading in someplace or whatever, you gotta give it about 60 secs to update properly as your automatically sent covert during this time to avoid load kills. If it confirms that you are indeed overt, visit a recruiter and wait the 1 hour needed to become covert (must be logged in the whole time though, I believe). If it says that you are covert, submit a CS ticket by opening the holocron (ctrl-h). You want the customer service ticket option, not the bug. The bug report will get you no results... all that does is alert them that there is an issue with the game to be addressed... when they get around to it. But by submitting a CS ticket you can get a CSR out there to help remove this permanent TEF off from you.

I know all of your information to be valid!

I have checked Ctrl C and have never seen a Covert or Overt statment, I have tried several times to open a CS ticket and that is no longer a option for my charater. I can only open a BUG.The main problem is not beening able to use transportation. My only option is to fight, run or die.

Basically... if you fight, your TEF goes away... if you run, they make you go overt... go to the nearest Recruiter and go covert again... then wait an hour. It happened to me... it sucks... but this is what being a Rebel is all about.

It will tell you if you are overt above your faction points.

"Overt Rebel" or "Covert Rebel"

The quickest way to fix it is to store a clone, insure your equipment, take off all your armour and run into a mob of storm troopers.

If you are a "Rebel Pilot" then NPC Imps will show up red to you regardless in space.

Maybe I'm reading the post wrong.

Same with "Imperial Pilots" as I fly with Imperial Pilots and that's what they tell me. Also in Beta it was like that. My Neutral pilot is rebel on the ground and Freelance in space so all but Hutt's are yellow until I attack them.

My Rebel Pilot is neutral on the ground but in space imp npc's are red.

If your a rebel pilot you dont have a way to hide it. Your rebel, imps will attack.

Yeah, you should be able to tell if you're overt or not above your faction points. Like someone else said, an easy way out is to get yourself killed. That should clear your TEF. Just try to insure items before you do.
