Thread: factions
Are you automatically associated with a faction as a Jedi? Could you be a rebel dark jedi or an imperial good jedi??? I was thinking about Jedi stand offs... A rebel meets an Imp, they talk for a few moments, then engage. I would think most people might try to make a deal not to DB since it's perma death... I wonder how trustworthy everyone would be with that.

Anybody else getting multiple factions hits and pluseskilling marks after the patch?

after reading many posts here on jedi - it seems most things have been looked at - but what about the side things like faction - i have noticed there are way more faction assignments then anything else. and correct me if im wrong but jedi are helpers of people good and bad - If this game is more based on faction - since sony has a part in some of the doings i bet most if not part of the key is to look into factions - cause EQ has alot of stuff based on how your faction is to one thing or another which determines the out come.
so as i am seeking this route - can you guys list the different types of faction u find - at the current time im still exploring rori and naboo - and in all i got 27 different types of factions- - and not sure what way they go.
Last night while playing, I was fighting Meatlump fools to gain XP. I noticed it told me I was losing certain faction points but gaining other faction points. What does this mean? Am I part of a faction?
I thought I was neutral.
How do I check how many faction points I have?
those are 2 different things.
Until you are declared (as in you go to a rebel/imp recruiter and choose to join a side {either covert or overt})you are "neutral" but that is for the galactic civil war. Along with that Most NPC's in SWG are part of some "faction" and are usually have a counter type faction that they dont like . So if you kill some thugs on naboo you lose thug faction and gain townsperson faction. Eventually if you get -5000 thug faction all thugs will aggro you onsite (as in they will show yellow on your map but will attack you) and if you have +5000 townsperson and say you are standing next to a bunch of townspeople and get attacked they will help you (although dont expect much from the townspeople cause they die quick) Also i believe having high faction with one group will allow you to do missios from them.
to see your factions pull up your char sheet
cntrl c by default
the first page shows your declared faction (in your case neutral)
click on the factions tab and you will see all the groups you have factoin standings with.
hope this helps!
