Ok, I've searched the forums and cannot find any recent opinions on this topic. I found the joystick thread, but it does not discuss mouse flying. I was a hardcore joystick fan in the Wing Commander series and all the XvsT games, but i thought joystick support truly sucked in JTL back in beta. I'll be honest, I have not tried my joystick again recently and am now 3-3-3-3 from using just the mouse and I died only once. The mouse gives me a lot of precision, but it's much less fun than flying those old games with a good ole stick.
So before I try my joystick again and judge it (hey, maybe it's my joystick that sucks, I have a Logitech USB FF joystick with tons of buttons and throttle,I forget the name), I thought I'd ask the question here:
Do the joystick users here feel it works better than a mouse, or it's just more fun, or both? How's the joystick aiming precision for ya? I'm especially interested in the Logitech users, but all are free to post.

I use joystick when flying single seaters but swap out to the mouse when manning a turret works well for me.

I use the joystick exclusively, piloting and manning the turrets. I like the control a joystick gives, the feeling that it gives, and since I am using an old Gravix XTerminator Dual Control, I have quite a few commands at my finger tips to use. I don't know WHY they discontinued it. Using the keyboard and mouse just doesn't have the same feel and control in my opinion.

The last few days of beta saw great improvements in joystick support. Try it. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
