I don't know about you but I gets tons of Notice of Warnings when I got against space pirates. I've also looted other data disk like "Dancers Lament". While these bits of flavor text are fun the first time, dancers lament was particularly funny, they are useless after that. They don't even look nice to put in your homes or multi player ships. What player doesn't have a couple dozen data disk laying around their inventory?

With the introduction of the Black Sun ace helmet I would like to see other similar loot drops. I would like to see more generic Pilot helmets. At least we could wear those around and look like pilots. Even better would be a lootable schematic with limmited uses so tailors and or armorsmiths can get some space content. It would also be niceif flight helmets had mods that reduced the damage taken from ejecting by say 50%. Ace quality helmets could reduce that by 75-80%.

Another cool thing would be new texture kits or limmited use schematics for those. These could even be tied to the various space factions. One of the texture kits puts a rebel symbol on the side of the X-wing. Why not have a texture kit that puts a hutt symbol on a ship or a Black Sun symbol? I think it's kinda odd that the texture kits that do exist just put random geometric patterns on the neutral faction ships but some of the Rebel ships get flames and other cool designs. You would think that Smugglers and other freelancers would have some of the wilder paint jobs.

Another good thing would be technical drawings of different ships in JTL. Similar to those veteran reward paintings. Or an even cooler option would be 3D holoprojected images. Like a mini holoprojector that projects a desktop sized YT-1300. Or even 3D ship models.

Just some ideas for more interesting loot in space.

I agree with you and I think that sooner rather than later (with 20 new devs working for our game) we'll see new space loot. Maybe not the specific items you discussed but non component stuff. I for one would love it.
