Thread: Can a passenger on MP ships do their mission?

I was trying to help a friend do his mission in my M22-T Krayt and we came to a part where we had to dock with the ship, not sure if this is bugged andmy friendhas to be in his own ship or it made that way, but does anyone know why we did not receive the mission item from docking? We both tried and both inspected.

What missions were you doing? He should have to be the one piloting the ship for it to work right.

Ive successfully done someone elses mission while aboard my YT1300.
You just need to get them to give you the waypoints and locations.

I remember once I had to go to a concert shortly after boarding my VT to do the land at emporer's retreat mission. I said I would just go AFK in the ship until the game cuts me off so the passengers can land it. What shocked me was when I logged back in the mission was done for me and I was safely on tatooine!
Do passengers (when they launched) see the pilot's WPs when if they take over for the pilot?
