Jump To Lightspeed Archive

Hey all, just started back playing to try out JTL and noticed I could use a joystick to control ships. So I plugged my joystick in and go to space, I spent about 1hr trying to get it to work. I am sure it works and is plugged in right, only thing I can think of is, I am missing is I need to turn it on ingame or its not supported by this game.

Its about 2yrs old but has worked with any other game I have used it on. Any help would be appreciated, I also tried to search this but its down or something.
