Ok so I find the ship that has the cargo, try to dock it doesn't let me.
So I attack it, shot out its engine and it can't move its now just sitting there in front of me and is still denying my request to dock!
What am I doing wrong?

Did you try /inspect on it?
Allso try shooting out its engines and /reactor before you try to /dock
