Thread: findfriend still broken?

since CU is up I canit use the findfriend command.
It was an interesting command especialy in space where you can easily loose you're friend and where giving Way point is long and dangerous cause you have to take of your hands from the joystick.
is it planned to be fixed or is it delibaratly broken?

It's only broken while you're in space. When my partner is out grinding, I can usually find her with the command by using it right before I launch. She doesn't move around too often while working on gaining XP. Once I'm in space, though, I get nothing. Can't be intentional.

Yep, broken. Which sucks. After Dalnara helped me go up in pilot ranks, I'd gone and got trained, then was gonna go back up and help her with a mission she stayed up to perform...and probably die in the process, not being an Ace yet, but I figured it was worth it... But I couldn't FIND her! Argh! My chance to pay her back a little for her help, blown 'cause I couldn't search all through space to locate her...

It is getting a little frusterating, especialy since I hardly go solo anywhere cuz I like to run around with all my long time buds. It's difficult because they go out of range real fast and theres realy no way to get everyone back together unless we all agree to round up someplace. At the least, either findfriend needs to be fixed or let the group thing stretch out a little and show what system and sector people in your group are in.

Ummm there was a problem with her sending you a /tell with her coordinates? Yeah, its more tedious to get the coords, type /wayp X Y Z, but you seriously bailed because you werent willing to do that? sheesh

No, I didn't bail, she finished the mission while telling me 'Just /findfriend me.' Never got the coordinates from her, so I never made it to where she was--hell, had no idea where she was.

Lena and I have taken to just emailing each other waypoints. It's easier, and saves on typing.

Yeah, it being broken in space it the WORST place it can be broken.
Usually if I am trying to find someone in space it's because I know they need help.
They are usually too busy trying to stay alive to /tell me a wp or send an email so it's tough.
I hope they fix this soon.
