Hi
With the front of the Tie fighter not being a surrounding cockpit like the X-wing whats the vision like when in the cockpit view?
Does it affect your awareness when in a dogfight?

It looks like the movies when they showed the view from the interior. You can disable cockpit view under Options and see everything in first person view also, which is what I do.

Thanks, myself i would keep the cockpit on for the fact i want to feel like im in a tie fighter.
can you pan around the cockpit using your mouse?

I feel like a dumbass asking this, but I still don't know how to pan around your ship/cockpit yet.

Push Alt. Then use your mouse to pan around. You can do it without pushing alt, but you'll end up moving your targeting recticle too if you don't. You can use ypur joystick hat to look left and right too.

Im currently trying to choose between Imp and neutral.
what did you people prefer?
On one hand i like the freedom of neutral and the other the pride of being and Imp

devs have stated that you could be both
you can be:
neutral/imperial
neatral/rebel
but not imperial/rebel

I thought that meant the ground and space combo.
like Imp on the ground but neutral in space?
Also if i am neutral in space can i use a tie fighter?

If you want to go Privateerand you're Imp join RSF (Rebels join Corsec). The First trainer is in the middle of Theed Palace.
I liked the Tie fighters better because of the weapon placement. Blasters were in the middle of the ship, and it's easier to hit fighters when your beams come straight from the middle and the base of fire isn't spread appart.

What they mean is, you can be neutral on the ground and be either a Privateer/Rebel or Imperial pilot.
Thing is about being neutral on the ground and going for a factional pilot, you need to be able to get into places like the Emporers retreat for a certain set of Tier 3 missions (or at least that's how it was a few weeks ago), I'm not sure it it's still like this!!
Also you can be Imp or Reb on the ground and become a Privateer pilot.
